- Hello!! Just wanted to see if anyone might have some suggestions....I
- have tried installing a Bocca Research V.34 28,800 modem and have tried
- to connect to my ISP by PPP using both WFW and Trumpet and Win NT 3.5
- workstation and RAS. With NT, I got connected and everything seemed to
- be negotiated ok...the a few seconds later, the server dropped the
- connection (I think it was on that end, but, may have been the modem
- first, I'm not sure). With WFW, the scripts never got to finish before
- the connection was dropped. I think I have everything set up ok on the
- modem and have used the same Com2 and IRQ 3 as my old modem(which I had
- to hook up here again). I have e-mailed them for help, but, thought
- ya'll might have encountered something like this. I noticed that this
- modem has Rockwell chips which are supposed to cause trouble for Linux
- (haven't tried it yet). The older literature for Linux said something
- about frame rate problems? Well, any/ALL suggestions greatly
- appreciated!!
-
- Thank you!!
